Creativity as a Springboard for a Successful Career
I have always been creative, and truly believe it has been the key to my life and my career. It is now leading me down the path to creating another new life for myself. I have spent a lot of time lately looking at and reflecting on just what creativity can mean for us.
There are a huge number of articles and books reflecting on the value of creativity to innovation and clarity. I am a living example. Time and time again in my career I reinvented myself through creating a new me in knowledge and capability. I also used a significant amount of creativity leading a team of project managers to problem solve. There was not a day where creativity did not enter into the thought process. I did not necessarily call it that, but brainstorming, troubleshooting etc were all creative activities.
It seems to me that everyone would benefit from adding creative activities to their life. If nothing else to stretch those "muscles" and get that left right brain connection really flowing.
What do you think? How big is creativity in your life and your success? What do you do to add creative activities into your day / life.
