Have You Considered Learning Zentangle? I am Taking a Course

Have you ever heard of Zentangle? I have been doing some form of Zentangle for 20 or more years. For a long time, I did not know that Zentangle is an art form that is formally taught and appreciated for its beauty and benefits. I find it to be meditative and an interesting component when I am considering adding marks to my paintings.

I have a friend, Cindy Winsel, who is teaching a Tangling Mini-Series course starting next Monday evening over the internet. I am joining the class, and if you can, you might consider joining us. Everyone can use more peace in their life, especially these days. From my experiences tangling is a wonderful way to bring peace into a rough day.

Cindy is a retired teacher and school administrator. God Bless her, she taught special ed where I am sure she saw the sweetest of things in one moment and the most heartrending in the next. After retiring she took up tangling and from there became a Certified Zentangle Teacher. I think it was a great choice for Cindy and those of us who get to enjoy her classes. In this blog she describes how she began tangling.

This is Cindy’s first tangle.

Look at these two blog entries of Cindy’s to see some of her other tangles. They are really cool. It is amazing what you can do with pen, pencil and paper.

This is Cindy’s latest beautiful work. I am looking forward to seeing you in class!

I hope you will join me in Cindy’s Class, I am really looking forward to seeing what project(s) we are going to produce.
