Welcome to Cindy Rae Fancher Art. Have a blessed day!

Journey to a Completed Mixed Media Abstract Part 2

I continued painting my 30x30x1.5” canvas this afternoon and I like where it is going. I limited my palette to 7 colors and white, but there are so many blended colors coming through and I love it. It has a softness that I find very appealing. Unless something changes, I think I will name it “Secret Garden”. I see fences and walkways, some plots and free spirit plantings. I see an abstract landscape, but who knows what you will see now and when it is complete. I am including several images so you can see how I progressed from the last photos. There is a substantial change from a few days ago. These pictures are in progression to where the painting is now throughout today. There is nothing like painting, the closest description I can think of is flying. My brush flies across the canvas, today I was painting with two brushes one in each hand. I would stroke paint on with one and smumble with the other. My definition of smumble is to smudge and tumble paint over the canvas. Working it in and around so the color ends up just where it belongs.

Hope you enjoy the images. I am curious to know what you see in the last one. I still have work to do, but I so want to know your thoughts!

"Secret Garden" still to be finished, but close I think!

  • I like the progression of photos. It is like watching a bud blossom into a flower.
