The 4th of July – Celebrating Independence Day the Quiet Way
Yesterday I began to note areas of concern that can negatively impact online communities. I will continue that discussion in a post to come.
Today for me is a quiet 4th of July, I cannot be with my family due to the Covid-19 situation. Nevertheless, I want to express that I am an immensely proud American and so incredibly happy that we have a country to celebrate. I know that we are not perfect or where we need to be, each of us have actions we must take for us to continue the journey and get through the mountain that still lays in front of us. I think through, for it is the most direct route, not the easiest perhaps, but most expeditious. As proven by history we are a country that transitions and changes with time. Like a huge ship, we may not turn in a blink, however we do turn. I love this country and all we want it to be and I am grateful to those who fought for and foresaw that such a great place could exist. We must keep working to make the future different, but also today I take a moment to be thankful that we have the possibility to change. I think there are still places where their hope is dim, where ours still shines like the stars we endeavor to reach.
God bless you; God bless your families and God bless our Country; The United States of America.
Happy 4th to you! Hubby and I had a quiet day having an inside picnic.
Happy 4th of July!
Glenda Cates – Thank you so much! Be safe and have fun!
May God bless you and your family as well. Along with our Country. I wish you a blessed weekend and fun filled week.
